Betty White is gonna be 'Hot in Cleveland' on TV Land

betty-white.jpgBetty White, 88, is unquestionably the hottest -- and busiest -- actress in Hollywood these days.

She'll host "Saturday Night Live" on Mother's Day, thanks in large part to a national web push for her to appear on the show. And did we mention that even "Twilight" hottie Robert Pattinson thinks she's sexy?

Now she's signed on for TV Land's first scripted series, "Hot in Cleveland."

The Dish Rag has learned that the show stars three other female comedy veterans: Valerie Bertinelli ("One Day at a Time"), Jane Leeves ("Frasier") and Wendie Malick ("Just Shoot Me") -- as Los Angeles émigrés who somehow end up in Cleveland. White will play Elka Ostrovsky, the snarky and sassy caretaker of the house they all end up living in.

"The talented Betty White is the finishing touch to this outstanding sitcom ensemble," says Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land. "Her lively role as Elka in "Hot in Cleveland" is what viewers love to see from her -- an amazing sense of timing and fantastic comedy genius. We are confident audiences will love her in this project, TV Land's first foray into scripted television."

How does Betty do it all? In the past year, she shot a funny Snickers Super Bowl commercial, flipped the bird to Ryan Reynolds in a Funnyordie.com video,  called Barack Obama "one hot piece of man" on Craig Ferguson, and told the Dish Rag that she begged to do a nude scene in "The Proposal."

"Hot in Cleveland" will start showing on TV Land in June. Betty White fans are getting their wish: More Betty!
