Andrew Shue's hammer toe: The shoe fits, please wear it

This is what happens when you bring your spouse to work.

Andrew Shue joined his wife -- correspondent Amy Roach -- on the "Today"  show Friday (March 19) and proceeded to tell host Hoda Kotb everything he loves about her:

"She's the happiest person I've ever met which is a huge, huge thing. She's also incredibly smart ..."

"He also loves my feet," Roach interjects, saying that when they first started going out he was worried that she would break up with him once she saw his feet.

This leads to Amy and Hoda having a foot-off and then Andrew sticking his unfortunate hammer toe (thanks to years of playing soccer) into the mix.

"I've heard when you like someone it's 'because of' that you like them, when you love someone it's 'in spite of.'"

Honestly, we don't think it was that bad. Hoda, however, was thoroughly disgusted.

"Put it on. My eyes! My eyes!" she exclaimed, although she admitted that indeed, his foot does not smell.
