Adam Lambert set to perform at GLAAD Media Awards
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) was not only in the media for Ricky Martin's coming out on Monday (March 29), but also to announce that another pop star, Adam Lambert, will perform at their awards next month.The annual GLAAD Media Awards honor media and recognize celebs for their "fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community."
Glambert will perform in a star-filled room including 2010 honorees Drew Barrymore and Wanda Sykes.
Other guests scheduled to appear at the awards are the cast of "Glee," "Sex and the City's" Jason Lewis, "Grey's Anatomy's" Eric Dane and Constance McMillen, the 18-year-old whose high school canceled her prom rather than allow Constance and her girlfriend to attend together.
The "American Idol" Season 8 runner-up, who came out of the closet pretty much as soon as "Idol" wrapped, is excited about his opportunity to perform at the GLAAD awards on April 17.
"GLAAD has advocated for out music artists, including myself, and I am proud to be part of the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards this year," Lambert says in a statement. "GLAAD's work to share stories that grow acceptance and understanding about the gay and transgender community is so important in our culture today."

Is Adam a Gay Performer or is he a performer who happens to be Gay?
Is he the poster child for gayness??? heh are his performances a meeting place for the gay community and nothing more?
Or is he a performer like MANY others who happens to be gay and provides ALL OF US with entertainment and music...

People love and care about Ellen BUT who she goes home to at night is meaningless unless she puts it out there... she is just an entertainer... not a GAY entertainer...
Adam does not deserve to play other venues BECAUSE although we can accept him ... HE CAN NOT ACCEPT US.
