Victoria's Secret's Miranda Kerr among 'curvy' models Prada picks over pin-thin options
Skinny is out, curvy is in ... at least according to the Prada design house in Milan.According to Hollywood Life, Prada kicked a handful of their pin-thin models to the curb in exchange for voluptuous Victoria's Secret Angel models, including Miranda Kerr (Orlando Bloom's gilfriend, pictured right), Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes and Isabeli Fontana.
The swap-out was for Friday's (Feb. 25) fall 2010 fashion show in Milan. Hollywood Life's source revealed that the decision to airlift the Angels to Milan last-minute actually took place last night during fittings.
Prada isn't the only design house dubbing the waif look so 2000-and-late. The Canadian Press reports that designer Mark Fast chose several plus-size models to strut down the runway in London when his autumn/winter 2010 collection was revealed last week.
Time will tell if the curvy trend sticks to the ribs of fashion designers. But for now, models everywhere are probably licking their lips at the prospect.

Miranda, Doutzen and the other models mentioned in the article are 'curvy' in the fashion world. They may be rail thin to the majority of the population but in the fashion industry, they are considered curvy. I think its wonderful Prada chose Miranda, its a small change to us but a big step forward in the fashion industry, its a change none-the-less.
Stick thin. With a push-up bra.
I hate to say this but this model is not curvy..wake up people..the models you see in todays fashion is not healthy and people are always saying thats what a real woman looks like..yeah ok..a size 2-double 00 is healthy and seems the average height is always 5'9 to 5'10. A curvy woman in real life is the one that has some meat on her and has some shape to her. A woman that is confendance in herself and doesn't need to worry what others think of her..Thats a real women there..Fashion Industry has a real long ways to go untill the accept women as women...the curvy/plus size models may do well in the the industry or could be another fad that will be gone in time.
