'Twilight's' Taylor Lautner to be 'abducted' by Lionsgate
"Twilight's" uber-popular werewolf and now Hollywood's highest paid teen movie star Taylor Lautner nabbed the leading role in Lionsgate's thriller "Abduction," according to Deadline Hollywood. Lautner will star as a young man who comes across his baby picture on a missing persons web site. The character finds himself embroiled in a vast conspiracy and is forced to go on-the-run, Jason Bourne-style. Lionsgate picked up the project after a week-long bidding war for the Shawn Christensen-penned script.
Just the latest project for the super busy "Twilight" star, who's anything but missing on the big screen these days.
As previously reported, Lautner has already landed the starring role in the big-screen adaptation of "Max Steel," as well as the movie adaptation based on one of Hasbro's most famous toy lines, Stretch Armstrong.
The teen heartthrob and cougar bait (depending on the demographic reading this post) returns on June 30th as Jacob Black when "Twilight: Eclipse" hits theaters.
If the "Eclipse" premiere is too long for you to wait, the newly 18-year-old star is still getting lovey dovey with real-life girlfriend Taylor Swift in "Valentine's Day."
