Missing 'Growing Pains' star Andrew Koenig believed still alive, police say [Updated]
New evidence surrounding the disappearance of "Growing Pains" star Andrew Koenig has led police to believe the actor is still alive."Electronic information leads us to believe that Andrew is still in the Vancouver area," Constable Tim Fanning of The Vancouver Police Department told RadarOnline. "We think Andrew is just lying low in Vancouver."
ATM and phone usage coupled with reported sightings of Koenig in Vancouver "leads us to the fact that he is still in the Vancouver area," says Fanning. "We are rehashing the evidence to see if there is anything we have missed."
"We are looking to find Andrew safe and sound," he adds.
This news should be comforting to friends and family who reported the actor missing on February 18 after he failed to make his flight back to Los Angeles two days before.
As of today (Mon. Feb. 22), it has been 8 days since friends last saw him on Valentine's Day. Friends and family have said the actor has been suffering from severe depression.
Earlier today, former "Growing Pains" costar Kirk Cameron released a statement expressing his concern for Koenig's safety and asking the actor to contact him.
Koenig, the son of "Star Trek" actor Walter Koenig, is white, 5'5" tall, 135 lbs., with long, brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a bakery in the Stanley Park area of Vancouver.

If you've seen Andrew since Sun. Feb. 14 or have information about his whereabouts, The Vancouver Police Department asks that you call 911.

Something tells me that this just might be a publicity stunt by Mr. Koenig to get attention and to possibly help relaunch his acting career.
Possible, however, it could just be that he is severely depressed and just decided to hide out in Vancouver.
