'Growing Pains' star Kirk Cameron to Andrew Koenig: 'Please call me'
"I am very concerned to hear of the disappearance of my old friend Andrew Koenig," Cameron says in a statement to Zap2it. "Although I have not had contact with him for many years, I can remember many of the fun times we had on the set of 'Growing Pains.' I am praying for his family during this time of distress and for his safe return."
Cameron played Mike Seaver alongside Koenig's character Richard "Boner" Stabone on the hit 80's show for four seasons.
"Andrew, if you're reading this, please call me," says Cameron. "Mike and Boner could always work things out when they put their minds to it. I'm praying for you, pal. Hope to hear from you soon."
Friends last saw Koenig on February 14. Zap2it was first to confirm Andrew's disappearance with his family. His sister Danielle Koenig told us he was visiting friends in Vancouver. He was scheduled to return home on February 16 and Vancouver Police were notified on February 18 after he didn't arrive.
According to worried friends and family, Andrew has recently been despondent and they're concerned for his well-being. His father, Walter Koenig, who played Chekov on "Star Trek," has dedicated his website to getting information out about his missing son.
Reports say he has sold his possessions in Los Angeles and he turned down several opportunities for work before he left for Vancouver.
He is white, 5'5" tall, 135 lbs., with long, brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a bakery in the Stanley Park area of Vancouver.
If you've seen Andrew since Sun. Feb. 14 or have information about his whereabouts, The Vancouver Police Department asks that you call 911.

Whatever you do Andrew, DON'T call Kirk Cameron. He'll just try to "save" you.
whats wrong with being saved
No one needs Kirk Cameron's kind of saving.
A guy is missing, and you are smearing someone that is concerned about the disappearance. That's pathetic. Perhaps you should call.
While I think Cameron is a nutter, I respect him for reaching out to his old co star.
kirk isnt more of a nutbar than the ppl that post on this site.

Omg. LMAO! Love it!
even crazy Christian conservatives like Kirk can reach out to a friend in need. Maybe he would be smart enough not to try and cram religion down his friend's throat, which is the last thing he needs. I just hope Andrew is okay!
You people are scary! You must all know something about Kirk Cameron that I don't. Last I knew you weren't crazy for becoming a Christian. I hope that Andrew will reach out to him, or anybody, for help. It sure would beat the alternative.
the guy probably just wants to be left alone for a while. though he should have told his family this before he left, just to save people from wasting time and energy looking for him.
