'Gossip Girl': Blake Lively, Playboy? No. Matthew Settle? Maybe.

Two "Gossip Girl" stars have been the subject of rumors this week. Both beg the question: Is the term "playboy" applicable here? Blake Lively was rumored to pose for the magazine of the same name and Matthew Settle may be one.

We never really gave this any credence, but when the National Enquirer claimed Blake Lively was going to bare her woman parts for Playboy, other media outlets scurried to cover it. Reportedly, the "Gossip Girl" star would net $2.5 million in the deal.

"Nothing about that is true," Lively's reps told The Gossip Cop. "There's not one ounce of truth to it." In fact, the reps say the tabloid knew the deal was false and still ran with it. Tsk, tsk.

Blake, keepin' it classy! We may not be able to say the same thing for Humphrey Dad, Matthew Settle, though.

Chatter about his impending split with Naama Nativ has been circulating for days. Us Magazine declared the separation "imminent" when it spotted Settle earlier this week without his wedding ring on.

Today (Feb. 16), Hollywood Life reports that it peeped Settle happily partying around New York Fashion Week with costars Kelly Rutherford and Connor Paolo with his wife nowhere to be found.

Could we have found the real "Gossip Girl" playboy news?
