Did 'SNL' host Jennifer Lopez's catsuits kill her music career?

Jennifer Lopez will be hosting and performing on "Saturday Night Live" this week (Feb. 27). And maybe some record company execs will be watching and sign her up, now that her deal with Sony is done.

But we know what you're thinking about her 'SNL' gig. Wonder if she'll wear one of her skin tight catsuits, right? Followed quickly by the silent prayer, 'Please, Lord, no."



The woman who shot to international fame simply by wearing a scary-sheer low-cut Versace gown -- taped to her chest -- to the 2000 Grammys definitely knows the PR value of a shocking outfit.

And that could be why she's taken to wearing some pretty strange outfits of late, perhaps to give her music career a much-needed kick in the tuckus.

She wore a nude skin-tight catsuit that caused the ball (and mouths) to drop on New Year's Eve 2009. Anyone talk about her performance on New Year's Day? Or was it all about that bodysuit? We rest our case.
