Andrew Koenig's family goes on 'Today Show' for help
Andrew Koenig's tearful parents appeared on the "Today Show" Wednesday (Feb 24) with an appeal for any information about the former "Growing Pains" star.
"It's very, very tough," said his father Walter Koenig, who played Chekov on "Star Trek." "He was very depressed about his life."
His mother Judy added, "He is much loved and beloved in this world, and I just hope he gets that feeling."
The Koenigs remain hopeful their son is okay. Asked whether he may have hurt himself, Walter said, "We're trying not to think that way."
Andrew, 41, disappeared on vacation in Vancouver on Feb. 14. Reported sightings of the actor have been made, but no lead is solid.
Walter Koenig's website asks: "If you've seen Andrew since February 14th, PLEASE contact Detective Raymond Payette of the Vancouver PD at 604-717-2534."
