'American Idol': David Archuleta launches blog, looks up to 'Idol' Kris Allen

"American Idol" runner-up David Archuleta announced on his Twitter page over the weekend that he has launched a weekend blog. So what does the "Idol" cutie have to say?
I'm back in Miami, and I've had such an awesome experience here! I was able to be a part of the Spanish We Are the World project "Somos El Mundo" and it was really great! Emilio and Gloria Estefan got the project together, and they along with their staff are some of the nicest people you could ever work with. This is the first time they've ever done this song in Spanish, so I'm really glad to have been a part of it with so many talented Latin artists.
I love it when people come together to help out, because it really is amazing how much strength comes when people come together. It was neat being able to help in the Hope for Haiti telethon and see how much good came from everyone coming together to unite to help the people in Haiti. There's power in numbers. The damage happened so quickly in Haiti, and now they need to recover from all that has happened there. I was watching the news last night and saw that Kris Allen went out to Haiti to help out. I thought that was so cool. I really look up to him for all that he does for other people.
Speaking of Kris Allen and Haiti, look for a Zap2it interview with Kris Allen about launching "Idol Gives Back" and all his U.N. work in Haiti on Monday afternoon (Feb. 22).

David always makes me think that life is better when you care about others. Anything comes out of him is just so good, pure and right. Is he real?
David is uber talented and uber socially conscious! Can't wait for his book to be released!
It's a great long blog and I really enjoyed it. BTW - I believe I am correct in saying David doesn't blog under the name Arch Angel. I think Arch Angel is the female mod of the official site's forums. David sends his blogs to her and she posts them. The only place David writes directly is on his twitter @DavidArchie (I love his tweets).

Love David's long blogs. He's one of the few artists who acknowledges others' accomplishments all the time. Really shows how secure, sincere and gracious he is at such a young age! He's a rarity in show biz today.
I just love his kindness toward his peers and he's so complimentary to them all! Wow on top of that you have natural talent!
I am so excited and can’t wait to see the making of this song with David Archuleta! I’m a huge fan of David’s and was so happy he got to perform with some amazing artists for such a worthwhile cause. I will definitely be purchasing this and watching the show on Univision! I think David is such a talented singer/songwriter and he is currently working on a book and a new album...so he has been really busy. But it's just like David to take time and help others in need and to blog to his fans. Go David!!!

I swear, this guy never ceases to amaze me. He's an incredible singer, a do gooder, and was blessed with good looks. i know i'm only two years younger than him but no matter how many celebrities i see on tv, and no matter how many new hot singers hit the charts, my heart will always have a place for David Archuleta! Every singer, celeb, songwriter, producer, and every person on this earth should strive to be as giving, caring, and fun-loving as David.
