Alexander McQueen hung himself in his closet, medical examiner says
In an eery way, designer Alexander McQueen's suicide was strangely appropriate for a man who loved fashion so much.
According to the official coroners report, McQueen's body was found hanging in the closet in his London apartment the day before the funeral of his beloved mother was to take place.
"At about 10:30 a.m. last Thursday...a man was found hanging in his wardrobe at Flat 1, Green Street, London, W1," the medical examiner's official Lynda Martindill said in a statement to the court. "On Monday, Feb. 15, he was identified as Lee Alexander McQueen...he was a single man, a fashion designer."
His older sister, Janet McQueen, identified the body and officials found a suicide note nearby left by the designer. The note has since been given to the coroner as part of the investigation.
A hearing on the inquest will take place on April 28. Meanwhile London Fashion Week officials plan a huge tribute to the fashion genius. The British fashion shows will start on Friday, Feb 19.

The great McQueen will be missed. I am a firm believer of not judging peoples actions, which is why the comment "coco" posted,disturbs me so much, as oppossed to bagging on someone for their weaknesses, they should stop and realize that everyONE!!! copes differently, and who are you to call him a MOMMA'S BOY, so what, his mother loved him.....obviously CoCo doesnt know of such love!
