'Twilight: New Moon' Kellan Lutz is NOT dating 'Melrose Place' Katie Cassidy

Reporters at a Lisa Klein for Division-E fashion event this week wondered if "Melrose Place" star Katie Cassidy might be dating "Twilight: New Moon" hottie Kellan Lutz.

Yes, they posed cozy on the red carpet and looked great together, both tall, blond. with blue eyes and great smiles.

But don't be fooled by the Hollywood fauxmance pose. 

All hostesses have to pose with the hot male guests. It's a rule.

And according to E!, Katie is actually dating Jarret Stoll of the Los Angeles Kings, a  hockey player previously engaged to model/reality star Rachel Hunter. 

Remember back when he called

 off their August wedding in June? 

Who would date a guy who would do that? Hopefully, not Katie!
