'Twilight' baseball team up at bat for Haiti

"Twilight's" baseball will leap off the big screen for a real-life showdown.

Peter Facinelli, who plays vamp dad Dr. Carlisle Cullen, heads up a team of fellow "Twilight" stars to go head-to-head with a few of the New Orleans Saints for a March 20 Celebrity Vampire Baseball event with proceeds to benefit Haiti disaster relief, reports People.

Facinelli will put aside film rivalries and team up with a few werewolves from the film: Chaske Spencer who plays werewolf pack leader Sam Uley, Alex Meraz who plays angry wolfpack member Paul and Tyson Houseman who plays Quil Ateara, who has yet to come into his wolfiness.

The exhibition game is just a part of the activities planned in New Orleans that will allow fans to mingle with the stars, including a blood drive, natch.
