Scott Baio's Michelle Obama tweet sparks death threats; 'I'm NOT racist'

The former "Happy Days" star Scott Baio says he is receiving Twitter death threats after tweeting an unflattering photo of Michelle Obama (below) with a childish caption.

"WOW He wakes up to this every morning," the die-hard Republican tweeted, along with a photo of Michelle with her mouth open.

The responding tweets have included suggestions that he kill himself and calling him a racist idiot and a lot worse. Baio then tried to prove he's not racist:

"I'm NOT racist for posting a pic of M.O. My WIFE'S BEST FRD IS BLACK,HELLO" he tweeted.

And: "Do I look like I'm racist? This is Renee's BEST frd. STOP USING THE RACE CARD!!!"

Further evidence of his tolerance of black people: "If I'm racist, don't think I would have Directed shows like The Parkers & The Wayans Bros. or worked 41 eps w/ Victoria Rowell on D.Murder"

We can totally see a new Fox talk show. "Chatting with Chachi" or better, "Playing the Race Card with Chachi."

Good to see Scott Baio is still among the living

Sounds more sexist than racist to me.

The Democrats define "lunatic fringe," and thankfully the good people of Massachusetts have awoken from their decades-long Kennedy trance, just in time to save millions of jobs that would be lost if Oblama's medical-welfare....err, health bill, was permitted to pass.

All of America had better wake up in a hurry, 'cause this immensely-unqualified guy is wayyyy over his head and selling us down the river so fast, we don't even know what's happening.

Jason- what does this your comment have to do with Scott Baio? Find another venue for your political rants and leave this one for those of us interested in funny celebrity "stuff", what it is intended for.
On point, sounds like Scott had better go back to wherever he has been until he learns what's funny-

I agree with Ellen. Sexist, if anything other than stupid and mean.

Who cares he made fun of the 1st lady so what get a life people....

if this was either of the Bush's wife, or even Hillary Clinton...and the joke was on the Daily Show....it'd be perfectly fine ( and we all know there has been MUCH WORSE on said show) ...the real racists are the ones that look at the picture of the person and seem to focus on the color of the skin--- racism will not be gone until people can discuss or think about people like B.O. or Tiger, and not prefix their profession or position with racial or ethnic description.

I don't see it as racist. It is certainly classless. As a "celebrity" it seems that SB would no that anyone can be caught in an unflattering pix. But then to use it to intrude in another's marriage. Just no class.

Rude, disrespectful, and just overall stupid...but not racist.

So Michelle Obama has an overbite? So she will never pose in Playboy? She's the First Lady, and as such should be accorded more respect. She's not there to be an arm decoration for the President of the United States. Her role is much greater, and she will be remembered historically for a helluva lot longer than Scott Baio ever will be. He may not be a racist, but he certainly is an obnoxious little twit.
