Rosie O'Donnell was at the TV critics press tour Thursday (Jan. 14), and the former daytime host was asked the inevitable question of whether she has any late-night hosting aspirations."That question today is like asking if I'd like to vacation in Haiti," O'Donnell cracked, getting a sizable but slightly squirmy laugh from the roomful of reporters. "Although I hear it's an enjoyable place, this wouldn't be the time to go, correct?"
O'Donnell, who appeared with her son Parker, was promoting her film "A Family Is a Family Is a Family," a kind of 21st century "Free to Be You and Me" in which kids (including Rosie's daughter Vivienne) are interviewed about what makes a family. It also includes songs from the likes of They Might Be Giants and Ziggy Marley, and an animated sequence where Frank Sinatra's "Too Marvelous for Words" is sung by a tuxedo-clad sperm to an egg. No, really.
It premieres Jan. 31 on HBO.

I'm on TEAM RO ! As usual she seems to be the ONLY TV personality speaking the truth! Leno had his turn -time to let someone else drive that bus! TOO bad Rosie's Not interested ! I'd gladly lose sleep to stay up and watch Rosie drive that Tonight Show Bus sadly a Women will NEVER be given that opportunity - but if there is any chance Rosie would be MY choice!
Rosie has a very valid point, I am not a fan of Conan, never thought he was funny, guess I just didn't "get" it.
BUT what they are doing to him is just appalling...he moved to CA got the Tonight Show and I am sure he thought his life was good, Jay sounds like a jerk, when I heard he was going to do another show earlier it made me wonder what the HELL ... how did poor Conan get a fair shake, I will never watch Leno again, I'll stick with Johnny and the funny thing is the jokes on NBC and Carson finally got his day in court!
Rosie I have always loved you, you may have stepped over the line a few times but so have I and I relate...all the best and take care of all those kids!
