GoogleThere's a whole lot of concepts going on in Mariah Carey's new video for "Up Out of My Face," but the one that really sticks with you is .... RED!!!! A lot, a lot, a lot of red.
Co-directed by husband Nick Cannon (who also has a cameo), it's also a lot of Mariah at her full-on nuttiest. She even has a glass of champagne in hand at one point.
All this to say, it's kind of fabulous.
Another Mariah video for "Angels Cry" (also co-directed by hubby Nick) was also released. But it's not nearly as much fun. Mimi, some rain, a tiny dog, you get the picture ...

20 years into her career, and she's still making RELEVANT music. Perhaps you should go watch Madonna burn Crosses and humping whatever comes into her sight. At least MC just takes on a coyful and playful sexuality. Oh BETTER YET -- GO LISTENT TO I GOTTA FEELING. It's always nice to hear people who can't sinbg hit number 1
this video is boring and makes Mariah look low-class and trashy (which she really is so it's actually quite fitting!).
It's amazing. People call Mariah low class but she's been around for 20 years. May I add that at some points in her new video Up Out My Face, she looks like a TEENAGER!!! NOT BAD FOR APPROACHING 40. People often say that Mariah is fat. Are these people crazy??? While she may flucuate, she should be considered a role model to women, proving that you don't have to be 2 pounds to be attractive. To be fair, I'll give the critique of saying that she doesn't need to lift her boobies every year but other than that she is a gorgeous woman. For once, I wish people would give her credit as a songwriter. Becuase she WRITES her own music, she is still RELEVANT. She doesn't have to rely on others and NOT EVERY SONG HAS TO BE A HIT. Mariah could have played it safe and stayed with "POP" forever but she chooses to evolve and make music that SHE wants to make, acknowledging that it might sacfrifice sales. Seems like a TRUE ARTIST to me :)

Thank you for validating my points. Your right --- It's not worth arguing. I just get frustrated b/c she is a GEM of an artist and people are SO MEAN. Artists can only drea of having a career like MC had had :)
