Larry King's Haiti telethon raises nearly $5 million for UNICEF, Red Cross

Sean Combs, Paula Abdul, Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Lopez, Molly Simms and Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Scarlett Johansson, Susan Sarandon, John Mayer and Snoop Dogg were among the stars appearing on Larry King's "Haiti How You Can Help" telethon last night.

Even a Rolling Stone and a Beatle encouraged viewers to contribute. Mick Jagger and Ringo Starr also made satellite video statements. Seal did a moving live performance as well. And Combs auctioned off Larry King's suspenders.

Joel Madden and sister-in-law Nicole Richie talked to Larry about their involvement with Tap, an organization that provides clean water to places like Haiti.

Jennifer Lopez got emotional discussing the devastating news coverage of children suffering on the streets. "It feels so huge and you want to do anything, everything you can."

All the donations were made to Unicef and the Red Cross.

George Clooney's telethon -- Hope for Haiti -- will air Friday, Jan. 22 from 8 to 10 P.M. on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT.
