The new "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" will begin filming in Hawaii this summer. Our beloved Johnny Depp is back as the flamboyant Captain Jack, and Geoffrey Rush reprises his role as his adversary, Barbossa.
But no more Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley! And the director Gore Verbinski has walked the plank too. He's to be replaced by ... wait for it ... "Nine" and "Chicago" director Rob Marshall.
The film's story is loosely based on the 1987 pirate novel, "On Stranger Tides" by award-winning fantasy author Tim Powers.
The book tells the story of a young man who is captured by the pirate
Blackbeard and forced to join in the search for the Fountain of Youth.

Well thank goodness Johnny is still in it. Johnny is what makes these movies, but its really too bad they couldn't get Orlando, Keira and Gore back, because they are what makes it even better.
well no that's kinda NOT what the books about. at all. but there is a fountain of youth part which would be amazing if they shoot it right. love tim powers~

Thank god there will be no more Keira Knightley! She's been getting progressively worse with each movie. I, for one, am ready for this as long as Johnny Depp is on board. That man has the power to turn anything into gold.
Orlando and Keira where not invited back as they are not part of the story.
