'Deadliest Catch' captain Phil Harris suffers stroke
"Deadliest Catch's" Phil Harris is currently hospitalized, but not for an injury while crab fishing."Phil Harris suffered a stroke while in port off-loading from the F/V Cornelia Marie," Discovery Channel said in a statement. "He has been transported to a medical facility and is receiving the best care possible. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and we will make more information available as we know it."
He's currently receiving treatment at St. Paul Clinic in Alaska.
Capt. Phil has run the Cornelia Marie for 18 years with his sons Jake and Josh as deckhands. Crab fishing is an incredibly lucrative job, but also one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.
