Angelina Jolie's dad calls split 'nonsense,' Brad Pitt buys bachelor pad?
Angelina Jolie's oft-estranged father Jon Voight denies the rumors of a split between his daughter and Brad Pitt.
"Nonsense," he told Access Holllywood. "It's all made up stuff."
Still, they did not attend the Globes or the SAG Awards. Despite the fact that Brad's film, "Inglourious Basterds" was nominated for Best Picture at the Globes and it won for Best Ensemble Cast at the SAGs. And word is they aren't going to the Oscars either.
A source at the Weinstein Bros told The Gold Derby about the inexplicably MIA Brad: "We're all baffled. When people ask us, 'Where's Brad?' we honestly don't know!"
Brad has been announced as a presenter at the upcoming Directors Guild of America awards gala on Saturday, Jan. 30. But no word on Angelina being his date.
And there are now reports that Brad bought himself a $1.1 million bat cave/bachelor pad. Or rather a Hollywood Hills house with a built-in Bruce Wayne style cave, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Read what you will into that.
A source said: "Brad has had his eye on it for some time but he decided now was the right time to buy because he wanted a place to call his own.
There are also unconfirmed reports about the couple seeing an attorney to divide up their fortunes (we're talking $330 million) and family responsibilities. On the flip side of that, there are unconfirmed reports that the couple met with an attorney not to divide assets, but to protect assets, making sure as a non-married couple that they have complete control of each other's affairs should something happen.
But -- just like it was with Madonna and Guy Richie for months prior to their announced divorce -- all this is being denied-denied-denied by the Brangelina camp.
Is this another Hollywood trumor? That is, a persistent rumor with some truth to it. What do you think?
