Vanessa Hudgens suing over nude pics. They're copyrighted after all!

When a plea for common decency won't work, Vanessa Hudgens is hoping a lawsuit will.

Yes, that's right. The "High School Musical" star is getting litigious over some nude "self portrait photographs" that have been posted on the Internet, reports TMZ.com.

VHud is suing Butter Media, the owners of Moejackson.com, for posting and refusing to take down nude pics she took or herself on her cell phone.

How did these intimate photos get leaked? That's a mystery even to the Vanessa. "The photos were obtained by unknown methods and posted on the internet by an unknown person without Hudgens' knowledge or consent," reads the lawsuit.

But here's an interesting twist: She doesn't mention that the pictures are nude in the lawsuit, but she has registered the photos with the U.S. Copyright Office. So the website could be found to violate copyright and be forced to take the photos down.

Well, that's one way to go about it. Another way? Don't take the pictures in the first place.
