Brittany Murphy dies at 32

Actress Brittany Murphy died Sunday (Dec. 20) morning in Los Angeles. Originally reported by TMZ, it has since been confirmed by multiple media outlets.The actress known for her roles in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile" and "Girl Interrupted" -- as well as voicing "King of the Hill's" Luanne Platter -- suffered full cardiac arrest and could not be revived.
She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after her husband, Simon Monjack, called emergency services. It was there she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Less than two weeks ago Monjack was taken straight from LAX to the hospital upon the couple's return from a trip to Puerto Rico due to trouble breathing. At the time, Murphy said he was having an asthma attack, but the paramedics felt it could be "more serious" and insisted he be taken for medical treatment.
