Denise Richards, ex-wife of Charlie Sheen (you may have heard about him recently), took to Twitter to defend taking her daughters Sam and Lola to the park, in response to other Twitter criticism that she was doing it for a photo op.

I genuinely love to be with my girls and don't have a nanny raising them. They are my #1 priority and always will be.

Of course it is wonderful to feel that your children are safe...it is a cause to celebrate. Anyone who thinks a violent drunk should have control over small children probably has addiciton and temper problems themselves and denies it is terrifing for others (especially children).
