Charlie Sheen's wife Brooke Mueller is alleging he choked her, which is why she called the police. Sheen has posted an $8,500 bond and has been released from prison, Radaronline is reporting. This is hardly Charlie Sheen's first run-in with the law. In 1998, his own father Martin Sheen reported him for violating his parole in order to get Charlie into rehab and his ex-wife Denise Richards has made numerous claims of his abuse of alcohol and drugs and threats of violence during their divorce and subsequent custody battle.

My boyfriend spent Christmas with Charlie. He's in the Aspen jail for basically the same charges. Minus the menacing, add a dui. Trust me, the Aspen police do NOT take domestic violence lightly, and they would not have charged him with 2nd degree assault domestic violence without cause. But, unlike my boyfriend, who had to wait until the following Monday to see a judge (not that he posted bail), Charlie's money got him out early. Total BS.
Well, I think we have to wait and see if he is guilty. Knowing none of the facts how can anyone judge him. How do we know she is not a witch.

I was once charged with assault with a deadly weapon when I pointed a gun at my stepfather who'd broken into my bedroom, made threats, and cut off my only line of escape. I wasn't guilty, and while they couldn't dismiss the charges, I was acquitted. You don't have all the facts; don't be so fast to rush to judgment.
Also, evidently the wife recanted her story to a female police officer last night.
Wait until all the info is in. If Sheen is guilty, let's throw the book at him. But until he's found guilty, cut the guy some slack. He may simply have been defending himself, as I was.
