Charlie Sheen, Brooke Mueller won't ring in the New Year together, may divorce

It's safe to say that Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller will probably not be raising glasses of bubbly and ringing in the New Year together.
After a Christmas Day fight that admittedly involved the snapping of her glasses, mutual slapping and overindulging in alcohol -- with some alleged knife-wielding thrown in for good measure -- Brooke and Charlie are now spending time apart and their future together is uncertain.
In fact, divorce is a distinct possibility.
"Brooke and Charlie still love each other, but they are very different," a source tells People.
For instance, Charlie wants President Obama to investigate the 9/11 inside job cover up and Brooke probably doesn't.
The source adds ominously, "[but] divorce is definitely a possibility."
For now, they will try counseling. "For the good of the children they definitely want to see if counseling will help before anything further is decided," says the source.
Mueller's threat of divorce is what sparked the Christmas Day fight that resulted in her terrified 911 call and his spending some time behind bars.
New Year's resolution suggestions, anyone?
