"Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller will seek counseling after their heated fight in Aspen that resulted in a 911 call and Sheen's arrest on domestic violence charges.

Did we mention this took place on Christmas morning? And that they'd been drinking? Happy Holidays!

"They were fighting at a dinner in a friend's house and it continued until the next morning," a source close to Mueller tells People "Both of them were drinking and neither was supposed to be. They both have histories of alcohol abuse and have made every effort to stop. But things got out of hand."

"Charlie went right back to Los Angeles after he was released from jail," the source continued. Both he and Brooke will undergo counseling and Charlie will get anger management counseling."

Sheen was booked for second-degree assault, menacing and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

He's due in court on Feb. 8, 2010.

Nothing says Merry Christmas like jail, a court date and couples therapy.
