California court denies Roman Polanski's appeal for dismissal of charges
Acclaimed filmmaker Roman Polanski is not going to have a very merry Christmas.
California's Second District Court of Appeal has denied his appeal asking a judge to consider dismissing the 32-year-old charges against him without Polanski actually being present in the LA courtroom.
The panel will not order Superior Court Peter Espinoza to hold an evidentiary hearing about dismissing Polanski's past sexual assault charges.
Now it's up to Swiss judges to decide whether to extradite Polanski to Los Angeles or simply release him.

Gee, it's been so long since I drugged and vaginally and anally raped that 13-year-old girl and then fled the county to avoid prosecution...can't we just let it go? Please?
I'm a respected director, you know. And the girl that I raped and recently gave a million dollars to no longer wants to press charges, so it's like it never happened at all. Right?
Please...put this scumbag kiddie-rapist fugitive in jail.
