Don't read too much into the DC. The reporting party is the one who gives the mortuary the info., the mortuary is the one who gives the county the information you can tell them whatever you want.Maybe they didn't know the fathers name. Her father can have the DC amended and his name added.

I think Brittany Murphy was killed by the same criminals who killed Michael Jackson. Probably she was first induced a disease, then she began to feel sick and finally she died. In fact the two deaths share similar characteristics: both victims died before their time, unexpectedly, they did not die a natural death, the circumstances in which they died remain unclear, in both cases reasons of overdose were stated, in both cases lots of drugs were found in their homes, from cardiac arrest, both celebrities, both in Los Angeles. Why Brittany was killed in the same way Michael was? Perhaps to distract attention from the murder of Michael Jackson and so avoid suspicions about it? Perhaps to make the actual reasons for the murder of Michael Jackson become unnoticed or irrelevant and so avoid suspicions about it (since the reasons why Michael was killed can’t be the same that in the case of Brittany)? But, what powerful mob organization is this to perpetrate these crimes? Who are behind all this? JUSTICE SHOULD INVETIGATE!

Dan, take you conspiracy theory BS elsewhere...Brittany Murphy was hardly anybody in Hollywood....voice acting King of the Hill...and not making many movies...and killed in the same manner as Michael Jackson? Explain that...did she have a completely incompetent doctor administering IV drugs that are meant for operating room use only? No. Seriously, take your conspiracy theories and shove it. Michael Jackson was killed by his own stupidity and addiction, not by people out to get him.

I think everyone is reading into everything too much. Brittany was human and guess what, we die. Yes she was young and famous, but it happens. It was probably her life style that caught up with her and all the other young stars that have died. They live in the fast lane and life just catches up eventually. It is sad and I feel for her family. We just have to realize it happens too all of us eventually.

Nicki, since it happens to all of us then i guess my lifestyle of trying to cook the perfect pancake and eating every single one of them will eventually catch up with me.
