Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy Sullivan dies
Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, the drummer for the band Avenged Sevenfold, was found dead at his home Monday.The 28-year-old Sullivan was unresponsive when found at his home in Huntington Beach, Calif., and was pronounced dead soon after, the Orange County Register reports. His death is being attributed to natural causes pending an autopsy by the Orange County coroner. The band released the following statement on its web site: "It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.
"Jimmy you are forever in our hearts. We love you."
Avenged Sevenfold won the best new artist award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2006 following their breakout album "City of Evil." Their self-titled 2007 album reached No. 4 on the Billboard album charts.
Sullivan is survived by his wife, Leana MacFadden.
