'American Idol' Carrie Underwood wants to be a role model. Unlike that other guy?
At a time when her "American Idol" mates are making news for outrageous performances, Carrie Underwood says she sees herself as a role model.
"I take it very seriously, and my motto is I would never want to do anything that would embarrass my own children, in the future," Underwood tells CMT's Invitation Only interview series.
Hmmm, maybe she means the recent brouhaha over fellow star Adam Lambert's risque American Music Awards performance?
Underwood also takes a backhanded swipe at judge Simon Cowell.
"I literally would not change a thing at all, not bad stuff," she says. "Not Simon, like, ripping me apart on national television, in front of millions and millions of people, because that brought me to where I am now. And I'm so blessed, I wouldn't change a thing."
Easy enough to say with a recent No. 1 song at the tender age of 26.
