'American Idol' Carrie Underwood takes down Simon Cowell, ex-boyfriend Tony Romo
Former "American Idol" star Carrie Underwood isn't mincing words when it comes to the men in her life.
Underwood gave a freeform interview to Esquire in which she takes on "Idol" judge Simon Cowell and ex-boyfriend Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
Underwood goes fairly easy on Cowell:
"Simon's obviously very smart. But he's not the smartest person I know."
Okay, we can dig it. It's a backhanded swipe, but tempered with that Southern semi-sweetness. Just wait. Of Romo, Underwood says:
"Is 'Cowboy Casanova' about the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys? No. I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong. I would never give him that much credit."
Ouch! She won't even name him.
