As the saga of Tiger Woods' car accident gets ever messier, now comes word that his wife, Elin Nordegren, told two sets of cops two different stories.The official report from the Windermere, Fla., police says that Nordegren saw that her husband had crashed his Escalade early Friday, went back into the house and retrieved a golf club to break the back window and drag her husband from the SUV. That may not be what Nordegren told Florida Highway Patrol officers, though. TMZ says she gave the FHP a "very different story," and that it didn't have anything to do with going back inside to get a golf club. The site says its sources "will not allow us to be more specific."
The top-secret FHP story sounds like it may jibe with reports that Woods' face was scratched up before the accident, and that he and Nordegren were arguing about an affair the world's No. 1 golfer was supposedly having (an affair the alleged mistress has denied). TMZ also notes that there was no blood on the steering wheel of Woods' SUV, which would cast doubt on the idea that he was hurt after hitting a fire hydrant and a tree near his house.
Somewhere in between all this, we suspect, is the truth. And we suspect it'll be a while before we get to it.

Well Kerry, try idolizing people who actually are heroes, not just people who are good at sports-that doesn't make one a hero. We have plenty of people in our military who sacrifice their lives and time with their families every day, they are heroic. There are people who selflessly volunteer their time to help others, they are heroic. Hitting a golf ball and acting like a nice guy in public, eh, really not heroic. Whatever went down, that's between him and his wife for now. It doesn't sound too great for either of them.
The bulk of the evidence points in favor of what he said, not what she said, at this point. No need to write Kerry's hero off yet.
And even if he was guilty of what he's been accused of via gossip rags, where exactly would that give her cause to hit him? The civilized thing to do would be to call a lawyer.
A gossip rag decides to lie about a good man, and that causes strife in his domestic life, all because they want to sell magazine.
He needs to sue them.

Now Tiger has refused to talk today (Sunday). I read that he is not required to make a comment to police. He posted on his website that his wife was corageous in rescuing him and that he would make no further comments. He must think people are stupid.
If there wasn't more to the story he wouldn't be so quiet and delaying making a statement. Why would it take this long to say the little bit he did. Fishy tiger story.
