Lee Daniels' controversial film "Precious," about a sexually abused teenage girl, opens today.

The movie has received film fest awards and is heavily endorsed by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry. Naturally, there's Oscar buzz for Mo'Nique anGabourey Sidibe.

But not everyone is impressed, including the New York Press' politically incorrect film scribe, Armond White.

Read his take on "Precious"

Speaking about the movie, White calls it the Con Job of the Year. He also said, "Precious is an orgy of prurience... Not since 'Birth of a Nation' has a mainstream movie demeaned the idea of black American life as much as 'Precious.' "

Go see it and decide for yourself.
