Wrong Baldwin story.What the Dish Rag was meaning to ruminate about was the latest report with all this business of Alec Baldwin quitting acting and hating his movies. Which if you ask us, sounds almost about as bananas as Alec's little piggy rant.
"I don't have any interest in acting anymore," Alec Baldwin, 51, tells the December issue of "Men's Journal."
"I consider my entire movie career a complete failure," he added. "The goal of movie-making is to star in a film where your performance drives the film, and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that.Every movie I've ever been in, I just avoid."
I can never tell when this guy's kidding, can you?
Anyway, let's wait to see how he does in his upcoming movie "It's Complicated" with Meryl Streep and his Oscar co-host Steve Martin. Word is it's hysterical.
Baldwin was also quoted in Playboy this year saying he was "done" with his career in 2012 and would retire at "30 Rock's" wrap party.

waaa, waaa, waaaaaaaaaah...Mr. Baldwin. Make movies you like/feel deeply about, or just say NO. How hard is that? Just please stop being such a complainer/crybaby, and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
I have to agree somewhat with Cluegirl. Baldwin has reached a point in his career where he can call the shots. He doesn't need to take every movie offered to him. He should sit down with Tina Fey and a bottle of wine and put together a movie that's tailor made for him.
All I need to say are three words...Glengarry Glen Ross. Brilliant acting and a great movie. Alec has one of the most captivating voices and commands an audience as an actor. I am a big fan, Alec.
Sounds like he can't appreciate what he has, only covets what he doesn't. I really don't feel that his career is a failure, but I also don't think I feel too badly for him if he can't enjoy what he does have. If he's feeling creatively stifled, I agree with Valerie in that he should try some other outlet, but I don't think whining about what many in his shoes would consider success is going to help. He sounds like a tween fishing for a compliment to me.
Never should have dropped the Jack Ryan franchise....
