Katie Holmes spoke for herself on the red carpet at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards, sponsored by L'Oreal.
Which is to say that she was sweet and sincere and really didn't say much. Hey, you can't have everything.
She left several video questions unanswered. But she told a group of print reporters she was "excited" to be honored at the event and thrilled to be in the company of Julianne Moore, Emily Blunt, Zoe Saldana, Julie Andrews and so on. Her "Wonder Boys" director Curtis Hanson presented her with her award at the star-studded dinner.
Any more dancing on TV in Katie's future?
"You never know," she teased and smiled.
Katie acknowledged her exclusive women's and children's clothing line -- Holmes & Yang -- spotted in the Maxfield boutique window in West Hollywood.
And she spilled that Suri "loves clothes and she picks out her own clothes." But that's not all Suri loves. "She loves running, she loves dancing."
Is Katie -- who did a marathon a few years ago -- still running? "I always run," Katie told a reporter.
And did Suri help Katie pick out her Alaia black sheer outfit for the awards at the Four Seasons Hotel?
"She did," Katie said. "I got a thumbs up."
