Rosie O'Donnell admits her marriage to Kelli Carpenter is not so rosy

Rosie O'Donnell has confirmed that she and her longtime partner Kelli Carpenter, 42, are going through a rough patch. But their kids are all right.

Rosie has been hinting at these problems on her blog but USA Today celeb scribe Ann Oldenburg asked her during an at-home interview if the couple had split.

Rosie's reply? She didn't confirm an official split but explained, "We're a family. We will remain a family forever. And we are working on our issues."

Carpenter was not seen during the interview in Nyack, N.Y. The National Enquirer reports she left the family home in August and moved to Manhattan.

The couple has three adopted children -- Parker, 14, Chelsea, 12 and Blake, 9 -- as well as Vivienne ("Vivi"), 6, whom Carpenter carried.

But the kids are still their focus.

"Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever."

But she added, "We will both continue to parent them and we're friendly and everything's all right."

This is sad. At least they seem to be handling it better than Jon and Kate Gosselin.
