Michael Lohan wants Lindsay Lohan off prescription meds: 'She's vacant inside'
Lindsay Lohan's dad, Michael Lohan, isn't happy about his daughter's prescription drug use. And he has vowed to get her off the meds.
"It's not just drinking and illegal drugs that kill you," Lohan reveals to Radaronline.com. "Prescription drugs can destroy and kill a person and are sometimes harder to stop. Look at Heath Ledger and Michael Jackson."
And he blames prescribed drugs for her failed film career.

Umm... I spent a lot of time with people who had hard drug habits, prescription and illicit, and that is the worst thing you can say about someone undergoing that kind of problem. Frankly, smoking pot, dropping 'cid, or having a few drinks won't kill (or even hurt) anyone, but the kinds of things Ms. Lohan does are definiely to her detriment. My best friend sold cocaine for about two years, became a die hard alcoholic, had outrageous superficial relationships (both homosexual and heterosexual), and took serious prescription drugs. I discovered that the best thing you can do for someone going through that is to love them unconditionally for who you know they are. My friend got better, settled down, and has a cute little baby of her own now. If you say someone you love is "vacant" it denigrates them, and it encourages them to treat themselves worse. I'm a few months older than ms. Lohan, and I actually had a crush on her since the first time I saw her on screen. We're both straight A students and I dare say I know as much about drugs as she does. Treating a brilliant young woman like this as though she
is "vacant" will only make things worse. The expectation for recovery shouldn't be that she'll quit cold turkey, but that she'll trade down to safe drug use, and in time stagger that. Again, reefer, a few beers, and the odd tab aren't going to hurt her, and they might actually help her heal in the wake of hard drugs and superficial relationships.
Lindsay seems to be really busy with her movies,modeling,production company, television,businesses and everything else.
However mIke could be right about her medication.

It seems a bit late in life to start being a "dad" she needed him years ago these type of parents make me sick.
Mr Lohan, I feel for you and your daughter,but leave Heath out of your messed up life. What happened with Heath was an accident. He was taking those meds at the prescribed and even lower doses.He was given them for real health issues.He made a mistake ONE time. Heath was nothing like your daughter. Where are the pics of Heath stumbling,falling down drunk and drugged? Where are the pics of Heath causing car accidents? There is not ONE pic of Heath, not like Lindsay. Heath did not go to re-hab like MJ either. Thousands of people screw up and end up mixing their meds. Heath was one of those every day folks. Its not as glamorous of a story and that is why Heath is made out to be some illegal drug user. He was NOT an addict. It was an accident. Leave him, and let him RIP! Focus on your daughter and get her help.Maybe stay out of jail yourself? Be at peace Heath, my friend.
