Madonna tells David Letterman: 'I'd rather get run over by a train' than marry again

Madonna told David Letterman on his show last night that she would "rather get run over by a train" than marry again.

This was after she came riding in on a crew of hockey players.

This was her eighth appearance on Letterman's show and her first since her divorce from "Sherlock Holmes" director Guy Ritchie.

She referred to their 8-year marriage as "the Bush years," adding: "It was a good time to be out of America."

Frankly, although we'd be willing to bet she's had some major face filler work done, we think Madge looks much better now, at 51, than she looked in 1994 on the Letterman show.

Was that the show about which she says she smoked a joint before going onstage?

Keep reading to watch that scandalous '94 interview and you decide.

What do you think? Hotter now, right?

Didn't used to care much for Madonna.

But, she looks better now and has become an interesting and admirable person actually. Her longevity, trailblazing, unwavering individuality and strength in the face of predictable bashing are good examples to women, esp over 50.

Even this column can't resist an aging jab, yet you likely wouldn't do the same to a male counterpart. How many male celebs do you slam for aging/surgery because a lot of men are getting work. Even Letterman looks to have had some 'tweaking' done.

this could not have happened to a more deserving person. Is CBS still happy they extended his contract?
