VIDEO: Katy Perry interviews a difficult Karl Lagerfeld in Paris. He prefers Lily Allen.
Katy Perry has her hands full interviewing the notoriously difficult designer Karl Lagerfeld after his collection in Paris.
And it's her first time interviewing anyone.
Herr Karl corrects the poor girl about metal versus leather, tells her he hates Sundays, can't answer her question about who else would he want to be and says Lily Allen (her competitor) best describes him in her song "It's Not Me, It's You."
Oh, and he thinks she's only a size 2 and did a good job "for a beginner."
"Hot N Cold" Katy is thrilled with his meager praise and sweetly promises to wear one of those metal (sorry, silver leather) outfits to the MTV Europe Music Awards on Nov. 5 in Berlin.
Might want to pick a designer who is a little more appreciative, Katy.
More Katy Perry Dish:
Katy Perry and Russell Brand haunt Paris fashion shows and a cemetery. Must be love.

What is wrong with you, Ms. Snead?
Mr. Lagerfeld was not in the least discourteous to Ms. Perry; that's why she wasn't offended. He answered her questions forthrightly. What would you have had him do--lie?--in order to protect her feelings.
Katy Perry doesn't need Mr. Lagerfeld's praise, anyway; she's a stone-fox. She would have been much better than Gretchen Mol in that Betty Page biopic.
That was a perfectly fine interview. especially from an old arrogant wind bag like Lagerfeld. He lost my business when he said anyone above a single digit size is fat.
i see absolutely nothing wrong with this interview.
his corrections are not demeaning in any way.
His comment on Sundays is not said to be difficult whatsoever and is brought up in a light manner.
and lily allen performs during his spring 2010 rtw runway show, which is probably why he referred to her, not to in any way emphasize katy perry's competitor.
this is majorly over-dramatized.
Come on. He was perfectly fine. He was completely courteous and she had absolutely zero problem with him or his answers. What nonsense.
