Jon Gosselin abandons his dogs. Good thing Kate kept the kids!
But the family dogs, Shoka and Nala, are the big losers because, Jon claims, Kate won't take care of them when he's not there.
What? He doesn't have enough money to pay for a dog sitter/walker while he's off doing important things like showing girlfriend Hailey Glassman his hometown and hosting pool parties in Las Vegas?
"Jon blames Kate for having to give up the dogs," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com. "Of course, these days Jon blames Kate for just about everything."

I couldn't believe they got TWO dogs in the first place with 8 children under 8. I don't blame Kate for not being able to handle yet another thing.
Spin much? The dogs are being crated all day long by Kate, he's doing this for the well-being of the dogs, not due to his selfishness. And he said they're staying with the breeder for awhile, perhaps he'll figure something out.
Kate can't handle ANYTHING. She's a neurotic mess. Look at the Duggars, Michelle has 18 children and handles it ALL and Jim Bob seems like very little help.
While this might seem like an a-hole thing to do, if the dogs aren't being properly cared for, he's actually doing the right thing by re-homing them. They're going to the breeder, not a high-kill shelter, and with all the publicity I'm sure they'll be quickly adopted.
The dogs are better off going back to the breeder if Jon and Kate can't figure out how to take care of them during the divorce. My issue is with Jon criticizing Kate in the press and in front of the kids. He should have told the press that the dogs were going back to the breeder until the divorce is settled. Bad to badmouth the soon to be ex in front of the children....it just makes Jon look worse then Kate.
I think it was pretty clear when they got the dogs that Kate did not want the dogs, that it was Jon who was going to be their caretaker. It's too bad he is choosing his partying lifestyle in the city instead of taking his dogs with him.
i think that he is a good guy and even tho he gives up those dogs, the press is only putting him out to be a horrible person. it is very hard to take care of two big dogs, i would know seeing as i have two, especially pups.
I will not trust Jon any more. ALthough he seemed a tender soul on the show. To have 8 children and to choose 2 large dogs that need at least an hour run every day. These are big dogs.! They have alot of energy. I had one. He gave away his dogs in stead of taking them. That is cruel, and childish. I thought he had the kinder heart. But I see that he is selfish. What a TERRIBLE EXAMPLE YOU ARE SETTING FOR NORTH AMERICANS YOU CREEP> ANIMALS ARE NOT DISPOSABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He did the right thing. It was evident from the beginning that Kate did not want the dogs. She refuses to do anything for herself, including raising the her own kids much less the dogs. She puts on for the camera but it's obvious she gives the real work to her "helpers". As much as she loves to use the words "I have to do this...I do that..." It's always "I" with her and then it becomes evident that someone else does the real work. She wasn't about to take care of those poor dogs. And realistically, since Jon doesn't really live at the house and his lifestyle has changed, he did the right thing. The dogs are better off.
Poor dogs! They are used to being together-remember when one had surgery the other was miserable without it's mate.I hope someone with children will adopt both dogs.
