DJ AM's death officially ruled an accident from 'acute intoxication,' not a suicide

The New York City medical examiner has released a report on the cause of DJ. AM's death. 

 The phrase is "acute intoxication." In other words, homey got way too high and could not make it back down.

TMZ says the M.E. report says Adam Goldstein's death was due to the combined effects of cocaine, oxycodone, hydrocodone (Vicodin), Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Benadryl and Levamisole (a drug often used to cut cocaine).

The manner of death is listed as "accident (substance abuse)."

That's a whole lotta drugs and a deadly cocktail. Typically, when cleaned-up junkies go back to their drug of choice, they overdose. They do the same amount of drugs they did before getting clean and their systems can't take it.

His death is still a tragic waste. But we hope this news makes his friends and family feel a bit better to know that DJ AM did not kill himself.

There is always a terrible guilt left after a loved one dies in that manner.
