The hottest Vegas act you haven't heard of: Matt Goss and the Dirty Virgins
British singing and songwriting sensation Matt Goss just released a new single, "Evil," on ITunes!
"Evil" is off his upcoming album, "Gossy," due out Sept 15. And there's also a music video for sale on iTunes featuring the work of Robin Antin's Pussycat Doll creator.
We talked to Matt and his new manager, Robin Antin, about the new album and their upcoming collaboration at the Palms Casino and Resort in the newly created "Gossy Lounge."
"I've been making corporate label records for so long," says international star Goss. "I needed this time to make a record without anyone looking over my shoulder, saying change this and do that."
The same creative freedom extends to his new "Evil" music video and his Vegas show.
The act is backed by a seven-piece band and a stage full of sexy dancers (a troupe called the Dirty Virgins) hand-picked by Antin, who puts Matt's talent on the level of a "Bono, Sting or George Michael."
I'd say he's also got a touch of Justin Timberlake slick modernity too. It's as if Justin brought sexy back but for Matt, it never left.
The show promises to be a full-blown production featuring a mix of his career hits, songs from his new album and popular covers.
The show starts Sept. 4 and will run Friday and Saturday nights.
Did we also mention that Matt is the twin brother of Luke ("Hellboy II") Goss? And, oh yeah, Robin's the sister of "Blow Out" star hairstylist Jonathan Antin.
Need we say more?

Thank you for the interview. I already got my tickets!! What happened to the music video? It was up now it's gone
Not to worry.
We will be posting the exclusive Matt Goss and the Pussycat Dolls video in the morning!
Be sure to check back in. This video is so slick and cool.
Thank you for finally giving Matt the attention he deserves! As a long time American fan(21 years), I have had to wait many years in between live shows so this is a dream come true for me. I am so excited for the new album (already love the single!) and Vegas show. I already have my tix for opening weekend and will be driving in from Orange County every weekend in September to cheer him on!
Just wanted to say what a great interview and it is great that Matt is getting such positive vibes for his music! Also he is smokin in the video , very hot ! I am sure that Matt will knock em dead in the Gossy Room!!!!! VIVA LAS VEGAS BABY!
I caught both shows this weekend. It definitely has a lot of potential. Some observations...
1. The girls Robin picked and choreographed were SMOKIN!
2. The sound was way too loud and boomy on both friday and saturday. It's a small and really good sounding room with great equipment, so there is no excuse for that. You should be able to hear every note of every instrument. Also, in a sit-down type show, it shouldn't be as loud as arena rock. If I see Rush, I expect to get my ears blown out, but not in a show like this.
3. They seriously need to work some dynamics into the show. The band was fantastic! (special shout out to the horns and the bass guy with the 50 string bass!). The guy on flute and trombone was awesome. Also enjoyed the muted trumpet.
4. Matt's original material is pretty remedial. The ballad at the piano was really weak. He would benefit from some good production and writers. Obviously "Evil" is nothing near radio-ready, and that's the only original with anything close to a hook. "For a change" is entertaining and works well with the show.
5. The video stuff is really cool. Good job on that one although there needs to be more variation on it. I would assume this is all they had ready for the show.
6. "Hotel California" ran long. I love the song and even I was looking at my watch. Might have been better to do a few Eagles songs in a medley or something.
7. Matt needs to lay off referring to himself in the 3rd person as"The Goss" (ROFL!)
This show definitely has potential. I would expect that after a few more weeks of "tightening" and the performers getting more comfortable with the show. Despite his limited vocal abilities, Matt could very well be "the" act in Vegas if he plays his cards right. I haven't seen anything with this much potential in a long time - and Matt, take advantage of being at the Palms and being around decent writers and producers. (I hope you got Oakenfold's card when you were on stage at Rain ;-)).
What were the names of all the girls in the "Evil" music video?
