VIDEO: Chris Brown publicly apologizes for beating up Rihanna
He's practiced a long time until he could give a heartfelt apology on video (watch it on TMZ) for beating up his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.
He says that until now his lawyers would not let him speak out. And he wishes he could "live those few moments again."
He's very sad and very ashamed that he lost control. He's talked with his mother and his minister and says he was taught "better than that."
He reminds us that he grew up in a household with domestic violence and has seen firsthand what uncontrolled rage can do.
He hopes others will learn from his mistake and adds, "I intend to live my life so that I am truly worthy of the term 'role model.' "
Or does he just mean to be truly worthy of lucrative product endorsement gigs?
What do you think of Chris apology? Is he sincere?

I've picked this video completely apart at my blog, click the permalink...
Chris Brown, If you grew up in a home full of violence then you need lots of work to be done before you give your "I'm sorry". I doesn't go away that quick. As for Rihanna you need to grow a back bone and keep on keeping on. I like both of you as singers but this whole ordeal is such a pity. Rihanna you need to love yourself more then you think you do because you would have kicked him to the curb, right then and there Remember the spot light is on you two now. One more thing Chris, keep your freakn hands to yourself. Try to beat a man next time you get angry if he gives you that chance! Your lucky it wasn't me that you hit.
I thnk Rihanna shuld 4giv him, cuz we all so mistaks dat we regret later on in da future or present.
Who can be that naive to actually believe he's genuinely sorry for what he did? He's not, of course. He's just sorry he got under the radar for it, and risks to lose money out from driftin fanbase apart. Whose fanbase who was cheated by the - fake - built image of a cute clean cut guy, who actually was (and still, and forever will be) a spoiled ego-burst up CRIMINAL. The only way to become a better person would have been to actually spend jailtime and pay for his CRIME, but Hollywood money and greed and the stupidity of his victim (airhead Rihanna, who happens to be the perfect pop star: untalented, beautiful like a dream and completely stupid... a perfect combination of everything fake Hollywood world loves to exploit) prevented him from it, sending out the worst message ever to young generations.
Chris Brown is seriously annoying and nothin of what he's saying and doing to keep his money bank cheques full can actually be believed by anyone who's got at least half a brain.
will i think dat ppl n the world make mistake and that he was real for wat he said and if some ppl r real fans of his like me they can understand were he's coming 4rm
I believe everyone deserves a second chance. Who are we to judge. Is he sincere or not, who knows? What I do know is it takes two to fight and although a man should not beat up a women, Rihanna doesn't seem damaged to me. She is always shopping or at a party. Both are at fault although Rihanna got the worst of it. Both deserve to be able to move on without this incident being the focus. Lets hope this leads to Chris becoming a better man and human being.
I don't care about what he has to say. Nice apology, but it's manipulative and has a motive that transcends his remorse.
Well its about time you apologize publicly! Yeah everybody makes mistakes, blah blah blah..but when fans of all ages including children look up to you,you should take that into consideration before acting how you did,you owe them and myself an apology as well.
we need to 4give him.he's getting help.we all make mistakes.u live and u learn.chris i forgive.remember no 1 can judge u but the man upstairs...
