New York magazine says Johnny Depp is NOT sexy. Are they high?
New York magazine's Vulture blog has decided to risk life and limb by declaring that "Public Enemies" is the latest Johnny Depp movie in which the actor proves himself to be decidedly unsexy.
Whaaaaaa?
May we quote: "To say the sex scenes are tepid is generous. Oatmeal is sexier. Johnny Depp is profoundly beautiful, deeply talented, and so cool even straight men are attracted to him. Yet all those qualities have rarely added up to sexual chemistry with his female co-stars. He's too sensitive, delicately featured, and dare we say it, fey. Depp's a romantic, not a sex god."
They even have a gallery of past film clips to prove their point about the dippy Deppster.
Oh, yeah? Well, what about "Chocolat?" And am I the only one who found him incredibly hot as "Edward Scissorhands"?
And he's also the sexiest character in all the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films!
Am I right or am I right?
OK, we admit he's starting to look a little too much like Mickey Rourke lately. We really should order him some decent shampoo from drugstore.com.
But saying Johnny Depp is not sexy? Them's fightin' words.

Geez, I think she just wants attention. I just got back from seeing Public Enemies....and Wow what a great movie and Johnny was sexy! The chemistry between him and Marion was sweet. So, he doesn't rip his clothes off (I think that would kill us) doesn't mean he is not sexy. He does it with out even trying...it's effortless for him. That Vulture chick must think Mathew Whathisnameface is sexy...EWWW.
Good grief! Not sexy? This person is strange! He is a romantic therefore not sexy? Him being a romantic IS sexy!!!! As for the sex scenes being tepid, well there were no sex scenes that I saw at all in the movie. There were scenes where sex was implied? I prefer that, I would rather see a good story than watch a couple go at it like rabbits. I will leave that to the gross teenage sex movies! His hair is NOT greasy, he puts product in it,then is out in the heat,add a little sweat and you get greasy "looking" hair. I saw pics taken early in the day and his hair was dry looking, then pics taken later, its just the heat/product doing that folks.I happen to love that look! There are products called bed head, etc people! Johnny is so very sexy, because he does not try to be. He does not care what we think about his hair, and I love that. Did you see him in that 3 piece suit? with the pocket watch? OMG swoon! Guys today in general do not know how to dress. Johnny is a class act! Very very very sexy!!!!!!!

I think the correct word to describe the 'Deppster' would be SENSUAL - a quality which I (and I'm sure, many ladies) find extremely attractive. A little mystery goes a long way to firing up the imagination and Mr D has got the 'fey' side of mystery by the bucketload! Go, Johnny, go!
