Megan Fox wants to 'act' after 'Transformers.' Michael Bay says grow up!
"Transformers" director Michael Bay is not pleased with Megan Fox, that ungrateful little buxom witch.
Apparently, Miss Megan has been mouthing off (like to Entertainment Weekly!) about how "Transformers" is just a lot of action and there's not much opportunity for any real acting.
She told EW for its cover story: "Unless you're a seasoned veteran, working with Michael Bay is not about an acting experience." She then added that the movie "did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke ... . People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."
Which is really something coming from a girl who has done only three movies and in one of her next ones she plays a cheerleader who eats high school boys and drinks their blood.

Here's what Bay told the WSJ about Megan's mouth:
"Well, that's Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, "OK Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it. But I 100% disagree with her. Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in 'Armageddon.' Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did 'Transformers' -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence from 'Bad Boys.' Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in 'Transformers.' I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

I actually find this hilarious. The fact that someone who has done so few films suddenly has the market cornered. And don't get me wrong, I'm not a Michael Bay fan, but don't be surprised when you say when he gets offended by your "he doesn't care about acting" comments.
i think Bay's got a real point there!
So Michael Bay's response is basically he has had big name actors in his movies? That doesn't mean they were able to give great performances. He almost proves Megan's point that they all went on to get BETTER roles in better movies that required them to act.
Nick Cage worked with Lynch and the Cohan bros, not to mention won an oscar before he was in The Rock. Affleck and Smith have charisma, not talent. Fox is correct, Bay's movies do not produce emotional trancending performances by the actors.
How about this for all sakes and arguements. I honestly don't know who the hell Michael Bay is and till I started reading about Megan Fox I am just now learning about him. Second I think Megan is a good actress and definitely one beautiful woman that deserves nothing but respect from all angles. Here you have a young woman thrust all of a suddend into Hollywood and have to do a crash course into learning the way of life in that place. She wasn't raised in it or raised to become an actress. It just kind of happend in her life. So I say my hat is off to her for making it in life and being something more of herself. With that said you all need to back off and just go do something else. As for Michael Bay if you were a bigger man you would have just shrugged off the comment made by Megan and kept on truckin'. Instead you acted like a child that got it's candy taken away and threw a fit. Oh poor baby do you need mama.

megan wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for bay. yeah i understand that it must have been hard work but be more thankful of him.
Wasn't Affleck in quite a few good movies before Armageddon? I vagely remember Chasing Amy which was really quite good. Armageddon was fun, but after hearing that Bay directed it, it explains why it's dead from the neck up in terms of dialog. Even the soundtrack was dull. The few saving graces of that movie were Liv Tyler and the exceptional Bruce Willis.
