Bryce Dallas Howard replaces Lefevre as Victoria in 'Twilght's 'Eclipse'

Ron Howard's daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard ("Terminator: Salvation", "Spiderman 4", M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village" and "Lady in the Water") will step into the role of vampire Victoria in Summit's upcoming "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
Stepping down is actress Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed Victoria in "Twilight" as well as the upcoming "New Moon."
The reason? "Scheduling conflicts."
"We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise," said Erik Feig, Summit's president of worldwide production and acquisitions.
"Rachelle brought "Victoria" to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role."
"Eclipse" starts filming in Vancouver in August. Which is like, soon.
We have nothing against Rachelle, but Bryce is an amazing actress. And they both have blue eyes and bright red hair.
Are you happy -- or bummed -- about the change?
Seems odd to change actresses for the third film, doesn't it?
What do you think the real reason was?

Why did Rachelle Lefevre sign on to another movie(Barney's Wives) with the same start date as Eclipse? Does not make a lot of sense. She's had to know Eclipse's shooting date for awhile. Poor choice on her part as far as I'm concerned. Finish what you start. Very disappointed
Scheduling conflicts? Yeah right. That is the most cop-out answer in the book. I think Rachelle was perfect, she has the right kind of sneery smile. But Bryce just bothers me. First of all, Bryce is a guys name, so that's just annoying. And she's too cutesy. UGH.
I don't think there is a scheduling conflict. They made scheduling conflicts work for Cam Gigandet (James) and Elizabeth Reaser (Esme) was filling a tv show and they worked around it.
What a coincident the find Ron Howards daughter. She does not fit the role. As a Twilight Fan I am not happy.
Also Summit did it to director catherine hardwicke, then talked about replacing Taylor Lautner and now this!
I'M SO SAD BECAUSE THIS!
i am so not happy about this wtf!!!!
She plays the character Victoria who is the enemy of the Cullens. She is not a Cullen. she has no last name.
Scheduling conflict? This sounds fishy. Summit was able to work through this with other actors. I guess when your dad is Ron Howard you can walk in and get roles you don't deserve. Summit has no loyalty. Just ask the first wolf pack from Twilight, Hardwicke and Lautner. Kristen watch out. Demi Moore could make a phone call and her kid could be the next Bella in Breaking Dawn
The Summit Company is a two faced back stabbing corporation from Hell!!! Rachelle is an awesome actress. Where is the loyalty? Fans love Rachelle as Victoria. They only care about sucking up to Ron Howard. I would not accept a job I knew I did not deserve!!!
thats bull. i am very dissapointed she will not be in the third one. i liked her alot. it doesnt make sence
The first thing that came to my mind when I heard this was that they're switching out an actress that isn't a household name or a "known" name (forgive me if she's been in other popular movies, but 'Twilight' was the first movie I saw her in) for an actress that's a somewhat known name, mostly because she is Ron Howard's daughter. If it weren't the case, then why not choose another relatively unknown actress to replace Lefevre, as to not distract people from the character? Now the attention will be focused on "Hey, that's not Lefevre as the vampire! That's Ron Howard's kid!" rather than the actual character.
Lefevre was AMAZING in Twilight and really had that tough, don't-mess-with-me-cause-I'm-a-vampire vibe going. Bryce has a very innocent demeanor about her, like she should be the one running from the vampires. I don't think that's going to work out... plus, why change a good actress on the third movie in? They could have scheduled around her. It might be tough, but worth it. I hope they reconsider! I haven't read a single thing on the internet that says bringing in Bryce is a great idea.
