David Carradine's hands were tied. So who was with him?

Turns out that David Carradine's death, as his friends and co-workers have been insisting, may not have been a suicide.

The cause of his death, whether by strangulation or heart failure, may have been a complete accident, or due to an unusual sexual act gone horribly wrong.

DavidCarra_MTo_7348773_600 Carradine's manager,

Chuck Binder, has told TMZ that the actor's family has been informed that Carradine's hands were immobilized by rope. Binder told TMZ that the actor's hands were tied behind his back.

So, if that's the case, the likelihood of a suicide seems, well, impossible. And it also leaves open for speculation and investigation who else was with him in the room that night.

Carradine was initially reportedly to have been found by a Bangkok hotel maid Thursday morning with a rope tied around his neck and another around his genitals.

But now news is starting to indicate that David may have been a long time devotee of auto-erotic asphyxia. However, if his hands were tied, then someone was helping him.

The website the Smoking Gun, after a review of divorce court filings, has posted a sworn declaration from Carradine's most recent ex-wife, Marina Anderson, that mentions "deviant sexual behavior that was potentially deadly."

David would not be the first celebrity to die from the practice. INXS singer Michael Hutchence is also believed to have died as a result of this sexual practice that involves shutting off oxygen supply to the brain (hypoxia), causing heightened sensations during orgasm.

Hutchence was found in a closet in a Sydney hotel room, hanging from a leather belt. He had pornographic images at his feet and left no suicide note. ABC news writes that Hutchence's wife would later speak publicly about the singer's desire to try AEA.

According to ABC News, the FBI estimates that 500 to 1,000 men die from this every year. It's often misread as suicide

The Marquis de Sade also wrote about this sexual proclivity in his 1791 novel "Justine."

Let's hope this serves as a cautionary tale for anyone curious about this deadly practice.

I wonder if anyone else is puzzled by the strange deaths of tourists in Thailand and the apparent reluctance of the Thai police to do a thorough investigation. In addition to David Carradine's death, the recent death of tourist Jill St. Onge also seems very odd. It is almost as though the Thai authorities prefer to have the deaths covered for fear of what the truth may do to the Thai tourism industry. I would hope that with some pressure, the Thai authorities would allow open investigations of these mysterious deaths.

seeing the photo in the thai tabloid (which i don't think looked like carradine but regardless) his hands were tied above his head, closer to the ceiling. They were not behind his back. but it's still impressive to think he could to all that and tied his hands above his head. it's suspicious to me

Just to clear a few things up here first of all I feel badly for the Carradine's family and may he rest in peace.

Secondly who ever wrote this did absolutely no research on Mr Michael Hutchence if they had they would know he was not married and never had been, there were no pornographic photos and he was not in a closet when he was found!!

Sloppy reporting leads to much misinformation to be spread and the world has enough of that.

RIP Keith and Michael
