Pete Doherty fined for shooting up in airplane toilet

British singer Pete Doherty was fined by Swiss police for doing something very naughty and dangerous in a bathroom during a British Airways flight from London to Geneva.

Heroin.

According to HuffPo, the rocker (and ex-beau of Kate Moss) was picked up by police after the flight landed Friday and held for two hours, a police spokesman said.

Doherty then got off (literally) by paying a fine and was subsequently released.

Seriously?

Wonder if the fine was more or less than you get fined for smoking in the toilet?

The Swiss tabloid Le Matin reported that Doherty was discovered by an air hostess in the toilet, with a used syringe near his collapsed body.

Doherty has a long and well-known history of drug use. He served 29 days in a London prison last year for use of crack cocaine, heroin, ketamine and cannabis. 

He was on his way to Neuchatel, Switzerland, to present his debut solo album at a music festival.

Good luck with that solo career, Pete.
