Last night on Twitter, Perez Hilton and John Mayer -- Jennifer Aniston's ex, who, in one of his more colorful moments, confessed to once making out with the gossip blogger -- shared a heated exchange – but without fists – about Hilton's assault.
"From the heart," Mayer writes to Perez, "what you experienced these last 24 hrs is a profound lack of control. You can't blog the world, my friend."
Perez tweeted back: "I totally did experience a lack of control - on the part of Will.I.Am and his road manager! I agree with you 100%!"
The argument consisted of over several back-and-forth posts. Read some of them below.
Perez tirelessly defends his actions. But Mayer offers alternatives to the way he handled the situation with will.i.am, going as far as to cite rules of the Israeli martial art, krav maga.
Mayer starts with: Perez Hilton's video statement is so long that by the end of it his cut healed.
Perez responds: That's real funny! Ha ha! And I'm sure you also think I "deserved" to get hit!
Mayer: by understanding the genetics of a violent incident you can learn to avoid them. And if you can't, you will learn to end them.
Perez: Also, in my world, if someone repeatedly talks ... about me, I ignore them or TALK as much ... back. But that's just me.
Mayer: I also want to train you in an old martial art called "Never Call A Black Dude a ... Jitsu."
Perez: Dude, I get it. I GET IT. But it's not ... funny to me. Karma would be me losing my site and going bankrupt or what have u.
Mayer finally indulges in a little name calling of his own, dubbing Perez a "dumb ...."
